In many cases, this can be a quick appointment, but we do recommend you still make it an appointment, rather than request for an extension from pharmacy.
Please keep track of your medications and leave appropriate time to make an appointment to refill before you run out. Most prescriptions are written for a maximum of three months dispense. Even if you have been stable
on this medication for a long time, please remember that these medications are regulated pharmaceuticals and periodic check ins may be necessary to ensure appropriate monitoring and
dosing. Although the medication is the same, YOU change over time and thus your reaction to certain medications can as well. Physicians are medicolegally responsible to ensure the ongoing
monitoring of the medications we prescribe.
We understand that life can be busy. But in respect to our other patients who are waiting to see us, we request that you make every effort to make your appointment at the agreed upon date and time.
Email and text message appointment reminders can be sent if you would like to have this service.
If you miss an appointment, a warning will be issued. At the second missed appointment in a calendar year, you will be charged the Missed Appointment Fee of $50, noted in the table for payment fees.
If you arrive late, your appointment will not be extended and instead will only run the duration of the original time booked. If this time is not sufficient to address your medical concerns, then we recommend you make another appointment.
On the voicemail of our clinic there is a phone number to use to contact a physician after-hours for urgent issues. The goal of this number is to provide medical advice and service that cannot wait until the next operating business day. We strive to offer timely appointments, including same day appointments for urgent issues. Please use this number with discretion, as our physicians
are working hard throughout the day to address your medical concerns as well. If, for any reason, you feel your health is at risk and require immediate assessment, you should NOT use this number and instead call 9-1-1 for emergency service.
This is a list of uninsured services that are not covered by MSP (or other provincial health plans) and their associated cost. These fees are based on the practice standard set out by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. This list is not exhaustive and is subject to change over time.
An invoice will be issued for your records and/or for possible reimbursement from Third Parties, where applicable.
